- Description
- With a flick of a switch 25,000 red, orange and white Christmas lights illuminate the front of the nation's largest continuous campus. 15,000 glowsticks dance across the night sky. More than 30,000 friends family and alumni come together for a night of holiday spirit, family, and unity. Carolers, singing soloist, 40-foot Christmas tree, 20-foot Wreath, torchlight processional, thousands of tea-lights, Masked Rider, Raider Red... Individuals in attendance may not remember the songs, they may not remember the words spoken by the key-note speaker, but they'll always remember how they felt that single night. They will always remember the majesty of the experience...the specific people they were with. They will always remember the moment where they felt like they belonged to something greater than themselves. Texas Tech University Carol of Lights... most incredible tradition. One of my favorite and most memorable experiences of all time... Here's a glimpse... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gf5MQqOtO2k (O Holy Night) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1fmDKMvlkQ&feature=related (Flipping the switch)
